Who We Are
INFOBALT aims at promoting Information and Communication Technologies' input to the welfare of people, public and private interests. Founded in 1994, INFOBALT is a locally and internationally recognized representative of Lithuanian ICT industry. The association unites 130 strong members, including national and global businesses, universities, education and research institutions, with a network of 10,000 experienced ICT professionals. Representation of national ICT industry, lobbying, fostering of IT export and promotion of ICT education are the key guidelines for INFOBALT's activities. In recent years, members contributed to more than 4 billion Litas to Lithuania’s GDP. INFOBALT is a single point of contact for any international requests, including investment and cooperation opportunities in the Lithuanian ICT industry.
INFOBALT is a member of DIGITAL EUROPE and WITSA, international ICT industry organisations. The association cooperates with the state institutions of Lithuania and other countries as well as with various other organisations and experts.
INFOBALT’s mission is to define and defend the interests of the Lithuanian ICT sector by creating new opportunities for development.
INFOBALT’s goals are:
- to represent national ICT sector,
- to participate in solving strategic issues and influencing development of the internal market,
- to prompt ICT sector exports,
- to advocate expansion of ICT education to all groups of society.
